The plant consists of a cereal unloading pit, with a capacity of 40 tons / h, which through a system of augers transports the same in the storage silos. Along the way there is a "cleaner" of the grains, which removes impurities. The fully automatic discharge pit is equipped with a dust extraction and filtering system. From the storage silos the raw materials are "called" into the internal cells by means of a computerized system that manages the load so that no ingredient is ever lacking according to the productions of the moment. The various recipes are then managed via PC. The components are weighed in a special 1,000 kg container based on the type of feed you want to produce. Once the mixture has been weighed, it passes into a first mixer with two reels which has the function of making it homogeneous the grain in order to have a grinding without consumption peaks due to the different consistency of the cereals (eg. barley vs. soy flour) in addition to having a first homogenization of the product. We then move on to the grinding phase, with two mills equipped with a 125 hp engine each; in one of them a additional 60 hp engine for the coarse grinding of some productions. Once the grinding has been carried out, the premix is sucked into a further container, and on the way they come added liquid products also managed by PC and microelements such as vitamins and additives. Then by fall the the premix descends into the mixer, equipped with load cells, for the definitive homogenization of the product required. The grinding and mixing time is about 4 minutes per cycle of 1000 kg of product, for an hourly capacity of 10 tons / h. Once the mixing phase has been completed, the feed takes its destination in the external storage silos of the finished product and / or bagging.
